Due to the treasure map incident, entering or exiting Zhan City now requires documentation.
Shar Chuang helped Chunyu Lan down from the horse, and a soldier wearing soft armor approached, asking, “Do you have travel passes?”
Shar Chuang took out their travel documents from his chest and handed them over.
The soldier examined them carefully, then turned to call over another person to whisper for a moment. He turned back to Shar Chuang and said, “There seems to be an issue with your documents. Please wait here for a moment.”
Chunyu Lan, feeling uneasy, tugged at Shar Chuang’s sleeve and asked, “Brother Fu, do you think we might have brought the wrong documents?”
Shar Chuang patted his hand to reassure him, “Don’t worry. That soldier spoke to us in a very gentle and polite manner. Someone must have known I was coming and is waiting here for us.”
Sure enough, a sturdy man in blue clothing approached from afar. He walked over and clasped his fists, greeting, “Greetings, Young Master Fu, Young Master Chunyu.”
“You recognize us?” Shar Chuang asked, a hint of surprise in his eyes.
The blue-clad man smiled and replied, “Of course, Young Master Fu and Young Master Chunyu have an aura that is distinct from ordinary folks. Young Master Fu, our leader instructed me to come to the city gate to welcome you since the day before yesterday. The servants in the courtyard have already made preparations, and tonight, the leader will personally host a welcome banquet for you and Young Master Chunyu.”
Shar Chuang nodded in understanding, “So it’s Bo Xicun. Please lead the way; I trust he has prepared the best for us, so I don’t have to search for suitable accommodation in Zhan City.”
His words gave Bo Xicun ample face.
The blue-clad man, now feeling relieved, accompanied them as they walked through two streets until they stopped in front of a courtyard and knocked on the door.
“Three knocks from the left, three knocks from the right,” came a voice from within, “The spring breeze again greens the southern bank.”
The blue-clad man responded, “When will the bright moon shine on my return?”
Only then did the door open, revealing a middle-aged man who stepped out, smiling, “The deputy leader has a majestic presence; it’s truly an honor to meet you today. Madame Chunyu is also as beautiful as a heavenly fragrance, living up to her reputation as the most beautiful person in the martial world.”
Shar Chuang smiled slightly but didn’t respond to the compliment. Instead, he inquired, “Is Xicun here?”
The middle-aged man replied, “The leader is handling some matters at the dock, but I have already sent someone to inform him.”
Shar Chuang nodded.
The middle-aged man opened the two doors wide and gestured, “You two have traveled a long way. Your room is prepared with a bathtub, fresh clothes, and some simple food. Please come in.”
Shar Chuang and Chunyu Lan walked inside, with the middle-aged man guiding them. They passed through a flower-laden gate and entered a small yard filled with lush greenery that looked quite orderly. In the corner stood a pomegranate tree with bright red flowers amidst its emerald foliage.
The middle-aged man stopped at the edge of the door and bowed, saying, “Our leader instructed that you and the madam should wash up and rest well. He will come to host a welcome dinner for you later.”
“Thank you for your help, Xicun.”
Shar Chuang embraced Chunyu Lan as they entered the room. The bedroom was on the east side, while on the west side were two bathtubs, one filled with petals of the Dream Yao flower.
“Husband, who is Bo Xicun?” Chunyu Lan asked sensitively, having heard Shar Chuang mention that name several times earlier, feeling an unreasonable jealousy.
He reached out and stirred the petals in the bathtub. “Even my bathing requires Dream Yao petals.”
Shar Chuang took off his outer garment, revealing a layer of yellow dust. “Bo Xicun is a friend of mine.”
Removing the jade hairpin from Chunyu Lan’s hair, Shar Chuang undressed him completely and lifted him into the bathtub without petals.
It was acceptable for Bo Xicun to pay attention to him, but the fact that he was concerned about what Chunyu Lan used for bathing irritated Shar Chuang; he felt jealousy rising within him. After cleaning himself up, he sat in Chunyu Lan’s bathtub and began washing his hair.
“Be good, don’t move around.”
Chunyu Lan lowered his head, only revealing his slightly flushed earlobes. Shar Chuang poured water over him to wet his scalp and began washing it with soap pods.
Chunyu Lan was physically close to him, and having traveled for several days, his breath became a little unsteady, and a dense itch arose in the back.
“Mm—Husband—” he instinctively rubbed against Shar Chuang with his backside.
Shar Chuang: “…” Shar Chuang felt quite unrestrained and stood upright in response.
“Lan’er, you must be exhausted from the journey. Let’s rest this afternoon, and tonight I will make it up to you, okay?”
Chunyu Lan raised his head, his eyes sparkling seductively like a blush-dipped flower, the black crystalline pupils rippling in the water, while his lips, red and slightly quivering from the humidity, formed a pout of frustration. He nodded weakly and trembled, saying softly, “Okay.”
Shar Chuang’s heart momentarily halted, almost succumbing to instinct. Clearing his throat awkwardly, he stood up and said, “You’ve washed enough; I’ll carry you out.”
Wrapping a towel around himself, he used a face cloth to dry Chunyu Lan before carrying him to the bed.
Both of them had damp hair, and Shar Chuang directly used his internal energy to dry them.
“Be good, Lan’er, just take a nap.”
Shar Chuang had comforted Chunyu Lan this way the previous night, but Chunyu Lan now genuinely struggled to hold back; he bit his lip, trying not to let moans escape, curling his body as the redness and swelling at his thighs became more pronounced.
